Osamah Sufyan
PhD student
Technische Universität Ilmenau
Osamah Sufyan is a PhD student and brings rich background in physics and computer science to the project. His academic journey began with physics studies at the Technische Universität Berlin, followed by a Master’s degree in Mathematical and Theoretical Physics at the University of Oxford. Prior to his doctoral pursuits, Osamah honed his practical skills through work experience at the Max Planck Institute for Structure and Dynamics in Hamburg and as a consultant in the IT and banking sectors.
Currently, Osamah is a PhD student within the Theoretical Physics group led by Prof. Kathy Lüdge at the TU Ilmenau. His expertise lies in physical modelling, numerical analysis, and computer simulations, all of which are valuable assets to the project.
Project Focus:
Osamah will delve into theoretical modelling of laser networks. His contributions will encompass:
- Simulating the components of the photonic-electric network as a spiking neural network, along with their interconnections.
- Employing dynamical systems theory to analyze the model’s dynamics and stability.
- Crafting control strategies for the laser networks.
