Mehmet received his B.S. degree in electrical and electronics engineering from Bilkent University, Ankara, Turkey, in 2018 and the Ph.D. degree in electrical and computer engineering from University of California, Davis, CA, USA. In 2024 he joined HPE large-scale integrated photonics (LSIP) group, he works as a research scientist on photonics neuromorphic computing, photonic spiking neural networks and accelerators. His research interests also include RF-photonic signal processing, fiber-optic communication/networking, and quantum networks.
